Consecutive Giving Societies

For 3, 5, 10, 15, 20+ consecutive years of giving

Consecutive Giving Societies are our way to recognize the consistent philanthropic loyalty of our Golden Flash supporters. Donors will be awarded for their affinity to The Golden Flashes Club upon reaching the milestone years noted below for their continual investment in Kent State Athletics.

If you see someone wearing their Giving Society pin, please join us in thanking them for making Kent State Athletics a national force in Division I athletics.

Acknowledgement of participation will be based on the fiscal year calendar (July 1 – June 30).

Upon reaching the milestone years of consecutive giving you will receive:

  • Special recognition in Kent State Athletics Annual Report.
  • A lapel pin upon your anniversary of 3, 5, 10, 15, 20+ consecutive years of giving, denoting the specific society to which you belong.
  • The knowledge that you are supporting the mission, values and traditions of Kent State Intercollegiate Athletics.

Determining membership within the Consecutive Giving Societies:

  • Recognition is based on the total of gifts, pledge payments and matching gifts received in a single fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Unpaid pledges are not included.
  • The fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. To ensure that your consecutive-years giving streak continues, you must contribute at least once during this time period.
  • Once achieved, membership will continue until a fiscal year passes in which the member does not make a gift to Kent State Athletics.

"As a Kent State student-athlete, I've had numerous opportunities to network with a wide variety of people. I've also gained many of the necessary skills needed to succeed in a professional setting, including learning how to handle both praise and criticism."
